Collections volunteers work with the museum’s Curator of Collections using both PastPerfect and Piction to organize and maintain the museum’s artifact collection.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assign Object ID numbers to accessioned collection items
- Catalog collection items
- Physically mark collection items
- Photograph and upload images of collection items to PastPerfect and Piction
- Inventory incoming donations
Desired Qualifications:
- An interest in history
- Highly organized and able to follow established standards and procedures.
- Previous experience with databases. Content management or collections management systems preferred.
- Ability to work well and communicate with others.
