On these one day SOUND THE ALARM events, the Red Cross works alongside local fire department personnel installing free smoke alarms, sharing home preparedness fire safety tips and SAVING LIVES! Everybody is welcomed to help, including non-Red Cross volunteers, businesses, companies, faith-based institutions, community groups, service clubs, college students, friends, families and individuals (16+ with adult supervision) and everything is provided, including equipment, supplies, training (no prior experience is required), even lunch!! It is an important, fun day and we certainly hope you can join us. Walk-up day of event participants are always welcomed. Bring friends and family too. The pre-registration simply helps us prepare.
