Do you love dogs, and also want to help low income seniors? Volunteer walk walk a seniors dog! We are looking for volunteers to visit a senior and thier pup on a regular basis, so that they are able to keep their four legged companion. This is a wonderful opportunity to really make an impact in a senior’s life, while getting in some time with an animal.
Requirements: Ongoing SAHA Community Volunteers must commit to volunteer once a week for a minimum of 4 months, and must complete a volunteer orientation, volunteer forms and background screening prior to beginning their placement.

Our Community Engagement Program aims to connect SAHA’s residents with the surrounding neighborhood through innovative, high impact, and responsive programs that forge mutually beneficial relationships. Description
The purpose of the SAHA's Volunteer Program is to improve the quality of living and promote health and well-being for Satellite Housing's residents. Volunteers will help foster community by facilitating activities for the residents, such as exercise groups, art classes, discussion groups, providing health and wellness information, leading or participating in games, assisting with special events, etc. The residents really appreciate the effort that is put forth by the volunteers, and look forward to the weekly interactions.
