Movers for families going into permanent housing
Need strong, able-bodied volunteers to help move furniture for families moving into permanent housing.
This is an AS NEEDED POSITION - no definite dates or times.
We will contact you when we have a family leaving The Salvation Army and moving into their own housing.

The Salvation Army Center of Hope provides the following services:
Emergency Shelter- temporary lodging provided for homeless families and individuals in our family dorm, women's dorm and men's dorm.
Community Feeding- serving breakfast, lunch and dinner 365 days a year (approximatley 600-700 meals per day).
Voluntary Interim Placement- Enhanced Recovery (VIP-ER) Program- a ten-week intensive residential drug and alcohol treatment program.
Community Rehabilitation Program - Faith based substance abuse treatment, residentail couseling, health care and prevention programs.
Family Services - a program for homeless families where they receive free housing while they rebuild their lives.
Emergency Financial Assistance - Social Services- rental assistance, utility assistance, food pantry, clothing closet. This is designed to assist families in crisis before they reach the homeless stage.

- Must be at least 18
- Typically 4-6hours
- Must be able-bodied, able to lift heavy furniture. Box truck driving experience helpful.
