RSVP Volunteers Group

Are you interested in a volunteer position that works with your busy life? We are assembling a team of RSVP volunteers who are interested in participating in our single-day or evening events. Once you are enrolled on our Event Volunteer Team, we will notify you each time we hold a single day or evening event and you will have first priority to sign-up to participate.

This team may serve in a variety of Single-Day or Evening Event Service Projects, based on your own interests and availability. Projects may include spending an hour or two sorting donations at a food pantry, assembling gift packages for Operation Bundles for Babies, creating cards for homebound Meals on Wheels recipients, writing thank you letters to deployed troops through Operation Gratitude or serving at individual civic celebrations such as Bountiful's Summerfest Days. These are just a sampling of the type of events we hold 6-7 times each year. We are constantly adding new projects to this list, so if you have an idea for an Event Service Project, we would love to hear about it.

Davis Co. RSVP makes it easy for volunteers who are age 55 or greater to volunteer. We provide benefits such as reimbursement for your travel mileage between your home and the volunteer site. In addition, we provide supplemental insurance to cover you while you are volunteering.

Contact Pat Brown, RSVP Program Coordinator directly at 801-525-5052 or pbrown@daviscountyutah.gov to enroll.

About Davis County RSVP

Location:

42 South State Street, Clearfield, UT 84015, US

Mission Statement

Davis County RSVP empowers and enables Americans 55+ in addressing community needs and concerns through volunteering.

Description

Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.

RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.

When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
