We are looking for compassionate and dedicated volunteers to assist us in making our patients end of life journey as smooth as possible by going on visits and assisting patients and their family with their needs. Volunteers will be trained on how to conduct successful patient visits whether they visit a patient at their home or in a care facility. If your traveling capabilities are limited you can assist with calling bereaved family members who need a loving ear to talk to. The only required qualifications are a clean background and a loving attitude. Our volunteers make such a big and uplifting impact on our patients and their loved ones. Mission Statement
Charter Hospice is looking for dedicated and compassionate volunteers to provide companionship to our terminally ill patients. Volunteers will make friendly visits to patients and help them in their daily lives by reading to them, playing music, running errands, relieving family members who need a rest, or visiting a patient who lives in a care facility. If your traveling capabilities are limited you can also assist with calling bereaved family members who need a listening ear to talk to . Volunteer visits and phone calls make such a big impact and truly enrich the lives of our patients and their loved ones. Training on what to expect and basic procedure is provided by our friendly staff so you can feel confident and prepared before going on any visits. Only a clean record and caring attitude is required.
Description
All of us here at Charter Hospice are dedicated to providing the highest level of care possible for our patients and their loved ones. We all work together as a team to make sure our patients end of life journey is as smooth as possible. We also continue to provide support and care for our patients loved ones who remain and are going through the grieving process.
