We are looking for volunteers to support our annual March for Meals event at the Hawai'i State Capitol! Volunteers will register attendees, guide kupuna during the event, pass out water and lunches to attendees and kupuna, and help clean up at the end of the event.
Our goal is to raise awareness for the growing number of seniors in need of nutritious meals and celebrate the invaluable senior service programs in Hawai'i. March for Meals is a nationwide event that takes place every March to call attention to senior hunger.

Description
As the only island-wide senior meal delivery service, Lanakila Meals on Wheels served 2,700 seniors and provided over 576,000 meals in FY21 - all thanks to our wonderful volunteers. Our meals are nutritious, providing homebound, low-income, or isolated kupuna with the boost they need to continue living with dignity at home. And it's more than just a meal - valuable interactions with staff and volunteers provide the aloha and wellness checks often missing from the lives of solitary seniors.
