Please visit the new page to apply.
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is offering volunteers the chance to join in on a wonderful opportunity.
Form meaningful connections with isolated community members, all the while providing caregivers with the most meaningful gift of all, a break! Volunteers provide one-on-one companionship to adults in their surrounding community. Visits last about 2 hours/ per week and consist of reminiscing, sharing stories, playing games, establishing friendships and offering relief to primary caregivers. Volunteer training and activities are provided. Volunteers are not expected to provide any direct care (bathing, toileting, etc.)
This program is a wonderful activity for both individuals and families alike. Opportunities available in your area: Ann Arbor, Chelsea, Dexter, Manchester, Milan, Saline & Ypsilanti.
This opportunity is only open to volunteers age 55+. Please include your age and phone number when you contact us. Email rsvp@csswashtenaw.org or call 734-712-4325.
