If you are looking for an opportunity to volunteer, without the demand of travel, we have the perfect solution for you. Our Together We Care Volunteers serve from the comfort and safety of their home.
The Together We Care team is responsible to call our hospice patient/families for any number of reasons. From post-admission calls to simple well-being calls or weather emergency checks, the volunteer call is another way to show we care. Personal volunteer visits with patients and families are restriction due to the COVID-19 crises, The Together We Care team has been able to contribute and help our patients and families through this difficult time.
Scheduled calls are coordinated through your Volunteer Director and documentation can be done on the computer with little to no travel requirements.

APEX Hospice and Palliative Care seeks to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and families who are facing a terminal illness. We focus on quality of life by providing comfort, company and active treatment of distressing symptoms, with the patient and their family as the focus of care. Services are provided by a team of professionals and volunteers who are physician directed and nurse coordinated. Comfort and coping resources are provided to the family for up to 13 months following the death of their loved one. "Family" is patient defined, and may include friends, significant others, life partners and relatives by blood or marriage. It is the expectation of APEX Hospice and Palliative Care that all employees and volunteers are strongly committed to the dignity and worth of each individual human being. Integrity and responsibility are expected conduct in all contacts with patients, families, other service providers, coworkers and the public.
