The Conservation Education Center in F.W. Kent Park houses a display room with nature exhibits and artifacts, educational posters, and live education animals. In the summer, volunteers help to expand visitor hours by serving as CEC Hosts on weekend afternoons. Currently, we are seeking volunteers who are able to serve as hosts from noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoons. If there is enough volunteer interest, we will expand open visitor hours to Sunday afternoons as well.

CEC Hosts greet and interact with visitors, answer questions about the park when possible, and help to provide resources such as brochures, maps, and newsletters. This position is ideal for those who enjoy socializing with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Training is provided in advance.

There is no minimum number of days a host must serve.
