Volunteer Income Tax Assistance is an IRS sponsored program training community members to volunteer as tax preparers. The training does include certification for volunteers. The site is at 100 Bullocks Point Avenue where we help folks in the community save money, qualify them for eligible tax credits, and provide general information for returns.
Training is simple! You will work with the site coordinator to complete online certifications and meet clients at our site.
This is a great opportunity for you to make a difference in your community. We are looking for volunteers age 55 or older who are interested in participating.

Description
The Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) is part of the Senior Corps, a network of national service programs, including the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and the Senior Companion Program, that provide older Americans the opportunity to put their life experiences to work for local communities. Foster Grandparents work directly with children and youth with special needs through a variety of community organizations, including schools, libraries, group homes, before and after school programs and shelters for children.
