Mission Statement
The mission of East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is to provide high-quality, comprehensive and accessible health and human services to assist people to achieve their fullest potential. EBCAP strives to be recognized as the premier health and human services agency in the East Bay. Each year, we help more than 30,000 East Bay individuals, who might not otherwise get their social, emotional, and health care needs met. This strengthens the overall well-being of the communities that we serve.
Description
The Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) is part of the Senior Corps, a network of national service programs, including the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and the Senior Companion Program, that provide older Americans the opportunity to put their life experiences to work for local communities. Foster Grandparents work directly with children and youth with special needs through a variety of community organizations, including schools, libraries, group homes, before and after school programs and shelters for children.
