Love being around books? Take on a volunteer shift at our fundraising bookstore! Come in every Wednesday from 11am until 2pm. Spend time around books, interacting with customers, sharing recommendations and working on organizational projects all while helping an awesome cause! Proceeds from our book-selling efforts at Carpe Librum benefit our family engagement programs at partner schools in Chicago's North Lawndale community. We equip parents with the skills and resources to be their child's first educator at home. When people buy books at our stores, we are able to put brand new books in the hands of participating families.
