Hawk Island Triathlon hosted by South Lansing Community Development Association is a successful event every year thanks to our volunteers. We are looking for our volunteer crew for this year's race. As it has been said "Many hands make light work!"

On Saturday, June 3, 2023 we will need people who want to set-up the coarse, registration desk, food station, and place buoys in the lake. We transport all the race day items from our office to the park for set-up.

On Sunday, June 4, 20232 we host both our adult and kids races. Volunteers will help with registration and racer check-in, numbering the entrants, helping set-up food items and serving. We will have volunteers in the water (if lifeguard certified), along the coarse to direct kids to transition areas, along the race course at water stations, finish line assistance to include water and snacks, and organizing the medals for medal presentations. Race day starts as early as 5:30 am and ends by 4:00 pm with tear down complete. We have many different physical levels for volunteering with flexible shifts that fit busy schedules.
