Schedule: Monday’s 2:30pm - 4:30pm / Wednesday’s 2:30pm - 4:30pm

Position Summary: Helping Immigrants and Refugee students with math homework,
answering any questions, and at times coming up with things the student needs to practice
to supplement their learning and fill any gaps in knowledge that there may be.

Qualifications:
 Desire to work with middle school students
 Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, trustworthy, and flexible
 General enthusiasm for math and helping people understand/learn math
 The ability to teach new concepts and answer questions over many topics in mathematics

Time Commitment: 6 month to a year

Age Requirement: 18 and over

The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) is a non-profit organization established in 1976 to serve immigrants and refugees in Portland, Oregon. IRCO assists individuals and families successfully navigate their lives from cradle through career. IRCO provides programs and volunteer opportunities in the following areas:
