Do family and friends turn to you for an encouraging word or emotional support? Can it be said that your middle name should be Care, Comfort or Compassion? Then we want you to raise your hand for volunteering as a Patient Support Volunteer with Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation!

Our Patient Support Volunteers brighten up the cancer patients’ day by providing non-medical support to them while they are undergoing treatment. In the infusion area, Patient Support Volunteers offer comfort and compassion, a listening ear and companionship, a smile and conversation, light refreshments, a blanket and pillows, reading material, wipe down the infusion chairs, and help to keep the area tidy. You can make a big impact with the smallest gesture!

Currently, there is need for Patient Support Volunteers at the Estero clinic.
Shifts are typically Monday - Friday, between 9am - 4pm. We ask for a minimum time commitment of 3 hours per week, for at least 6 months. Volunteers must follow the FCS vaccine policy.
