For many learners, the opportunity for individual attention provides a critical boost in confidence at times when discouragement puts them at risk for giving up. Some learners may require this service long-term, while others may need it for a shorter period of time. In some cases, One-to-One Tutors may have the opportunity of working with several learners over the course of the academic year. Volunteers currently serving as One-on-One Tutors often express a special kind of devotion to their learners. Tutors work individually with basic literacy and numeracy learners twice a week for 1.5 hours per session (AM or PM). This volunteer role is flexible, we will work with your schedule if you are interested.
