Experience winter in Detroit like never before during Quicken Loans Winter Blast Weekend! The traditional Winter Blast event has expanded to four festival weekends at Campus Martius Park in Downtown Detroit! Quicken Loans Winter Blast Weekends features winter activities, live entertainment, and delicious local restaurants for the whole family to enjoy.

Join Arts & Scraps at this exciting event! At Winter Blast, we will be creating a winter themed project with children and families of all ages. Without the help of our wonderful volunteers we would not be able to accommodate the number of individuals we will see at this event.

Mission Statement

For over 30 years, Arts & Scraps has reimagined recycled materials to inspire people of all ages to think, create and learn.

Description

Arts & Scraps is open to the public to stuff bags with safe, accessible recycled industrial materials. We also host educational and curriculum-based field trips, on site workshops for children and adults and create art and curriculum kits for 10 to 35 students. We bring activity tables to events throughout the Metro Detroit Area. Our warehouse uses volunteers of all abilities to sort, pack and prepare materials for our programs and learning kits.
