Services for the UnderServed (S:US) provides housing and supportive services to individuals with special needs. SUS provides these services to individuals who represent the diversity of New York.
A Spanish translator is needed for a meeting where family members of individuals served by S:US gain information and to advocate for their children, sister, brother, nephew, etc. There are several family members whose first language is Spanish. They are strong advocates and add a lot to the meeting. Many are able to understand English but are more comfortable speaking in Spanish. The translator will help to clarify some points and allow the family members to more fully participate in the meetings.
The meeting will take place over Zoom with a conference call number for the Spanish speaking members and the volunteer translator. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 27th from 5:30 - 7:00 PM.
