Services for the UnderServed's Manhattan Without Walls (Manhattan WOW) is a skill building program where people with intellectual/developmental disabilities receive training for daily living skills, such as communication and self-preservation, community awareness, independent living and pre-vocational skills. It opened its doors in 2017 and currently serves 30 individuals. They are starting a class that teaches resume and employment readiness skills. Volunteers would teach weekly, biweekly or monthly for one to two hours. Services for the UnderServed's Wellness Works Clinic provides high quality outpatient behavioral health and substance use services. This clinic has been open since 2010 and serves 600 individuals. As such, it has plenty of paperwork to sort and organize. Volunteers would help Wellness Works Clinic run efficiently and clear some clutter. All supplies will be provided. This would be an on going volunteer opportunity. Responsibilities - Filing paperwork in chart - Organize charts alphabetically in file cabinets - Remove inactive charts and prepare for storage Preferred Skills - High school diploma or GED - General knowledge on how to file paperwork - Team player - Willing to work effectively and efficiently
