Spanish Speaking Volunteers Needed!

For this Girls on the Run season's program registration (from January 28th to February 25th), we are recruiting volunteer support to assist our Spanish speaking registrants in completing their program registration and answer financial aid questions.

In this role, you would be able to volunteer remotely (from the comfort of your home!) for about an hour, twice a week between January 28th and February 25th. You'd be supporting our program registration and checking our Spanish line voicemail to call back families and answer questions they may have about completing the program registration for their daughter. You'd be able to set your schedule - for example, you can decide to call back families between 6:30pm and 7:30pm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings; or perhaps call back or email families between 8:00am and 9:00am on Wednesdays and Fridays. We supply you with all of the information you need to answer questions. We'd have a one hour training session before you get started - either in-person at our office in Fairfax or via video meeting, whichever you'd prefer! Girls on the Run is a youth development program for girls in 3rd grade through 8th grade. Its a curriculum-based program which gives girls the tools they need to be strong, confident, and healthy. Girls are signing up to participate in a 10-week program, and along with learning important lessons, will be working their way up to running or walking a 5K run at the end of the season.
