Do You Like Working With Older Adults?
The Healthy Aging Association is currently looking for responsible individuals who would like to make a difference in the lives of older adults. Volunteer openings range from 1-day events, once monthly, or once/twice weekly. The opportunities vary from helping at a health fair to teaching balance classes to older adults. Free Training is available for the committed volunteer. Healthy Aging Association is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help older Americans live longer, healthier, more independent lives by promoting increased physical activitity, and sound health and nutrition practices.
Ou fitness program includes strength training exercises for eight major muscle groups, flexibility components and balance training. We use rubber exertubes with soft grip handles, no weights. Most exercises can be done seated or standing. We have 36 sites throughout Stanislaus County catering to 60 years and better.

- Varies. Young At Heart classes -once/twice a week for 1.5 hours Matter of Balance classes requires 2.3 hours per 8 week session Green Bag Program is once a month for 2 hours. 1 day events could be 2-4 hours once a year.
- Spanish speaking or other languages is a plus. Healthy Lifestyle is preferred.
