General Information: It is located in Nicoya Peninsula (North Pacific Coast of Costa Rica)
Volunteer activities:
- Beach cleaning
- Day and Night Patrolling
-Maintenance of the Turtle Hatchery
-Train cleaning
- Species of Turtles that arrive: Baula, Negra Lora, hawksbill
Season: All year
Minimum duration of participation: 10 days.
We ACCEPT volunteers who need to perform Community Work in their high school and Community Work in their University career. If you want to book TCU or TCE here just fill out our form and send us an email with the dates you would like to make your hours.
overview:
- Project length: From 10 days to 6 weeks.
- Arrival Airport: San Jose (SJO) Juan Santamaría International Airport.
- Work Schedule: Depend of daily activities can be night and day time, Minimum 6 hours per day.
- Requirements: Basic Spanish (not necessary), independent bus ride to/from project site.
- Age Limits: 18 years old minimum to 60 years old max.
- Airlines: American, United, Delta, US Airways, Copa, Taca, Avianca, Spirit Airways.
- Vaccinations: Routine Vac, Hep-A and Typhoid wwwnc.cdc.gov.
WHAT DO MY FEES PAY FOR?
- Accommodation: National park.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.
- Internet: available in some projects.
- Arrival: Airport (SJO) meet and greet by VNCR Staff and Airport transfer on arrival to San Jose
- Orientation: Orientation upon arrival.
- Support: Full time in-country VNCR Coordinator. 24/7 emergency contact number.
- Departure: Transfer back to the airport at the end of the program.
WHAT DO MY FEES NOT CONVER?
Flights. Entry Visa. Departure taxes. Vaccinations. Local Transportation. Travel & Health Insurance. Internet (Only available in some host families and projects). Any extra activities and excursions or tours not described on the planned itinerary.

Description
Located in Costa Rica. This is a family company that has been around since 2004 and enlisted the aid of hundreds of volunteers from all over the world, which ones come to our country to work on the ecological and social projects our company offer.
The farther you have to travel to get here and the eager you are to participate and learn about our great history and culture, the more we will appreciate and love you for your commitment to be the change in our great country. When you the volunteer dedicate your time and effort to us, we promise to dedicate all of our resources to making sure your efforts make the greatest difference possible.
A great example of a typical volunteer experience will be as follows. Before arriving in Costa Rica, the volunteers will have to choose the project that fits with their best interests whether it’s a social or ecological project. This is done for both the and the organization to be clear. We will then provide transportation from the airport to the host family residence, of which you will be living in during your stay. I have a group of local families that have renovated and dedicated their time and homes to our program.
The families we have chosen as hosts will do everything in their power to help you with your personal journey as well you will be able to immerse and understand the way our day to day "tica" life style is lived.
