Every day, the American Red Cross sees the heartbreak of people trying to cope with more intense storms, heavier rainfall, higher temperatures, stronger hurricanes, and more devastating wildfires. As more people rely on the Red Cross for help, the need for compassionate volunteers has never been greater. We can’t do it without you. Join us today and discover one of the best ways to spend your summer.
Disaster Action Team (DAT) volunteers sign up for on-call shifts to help provide 24-hour emergency response to local disasters, ensuring that those affected have access to resources for necessities such as food, shelter, and clothing.
Disaster Action Team Member
Every day The American Red Cross responds to approximately 190 house fires across the country. Because of volunteers like you, we are able to respond to the devastation a house fire can bring within 2 hours of receiving the call that a family is in need.
We are actively recruiting for volunteers who want to be part of our Disaster Action Teams (DAT) in Trempealeau County. DAT members respond to local disasters within 2 hours of notification and directly help people affected by disasters by providing food, shelter, essential reliefs supplies, and hope. Full training provided by The American Red Cross - Wisconsin Region.
