Schedule: Minimum of one day per week for 2-3 hours

Position Summary: We are in need of an Arabic-speaking volunteer to support an elementary
school-aged newly arrived refugee student. The volunteer must be someone who loves kids and
who has a passion for helping others. The student in need of support has been having a difficult
time adjusting to their new life at school as they do not speak English yet, and there are no
Arabic-speaking staff at school to help with translation. We will connect the volunteer with
school staff so that they can work together to try and support this student.

Qualifications: Bilingual in English and Arabic required. Experience working with elementaryaged students preferred but not required.
