Schedule: Flexible

Position Summary:
The Refugee and Immigrant Mentoring (RIM) Program is looking for two types of volunteers:
Youth Mentor
 Take the lead in supporting a young person through an ongoing, one-to-one relationship
 Serve as a positive role model and friend
 Build the relationship by planning and participating in activities together
 Strive for mutual respect
 Build self-esteem and motivation
 Help set goals and work toward accomplishing them

RIM Program Volunteer
 Primary need is homework help on Saturday mornings at Africa House, 10 am - 1 pm
 Assist with RIM events

Desired Qualities:
 Willing listener
 Encouraging and supportive
 Patient and flexible
 Tolerant and respectful of individual differences

IRCO assists individuals and families successfully navigate their lives from cradle through career. IRCO provides programs and volunteer opportunities in the following areas:
