We are looking for individuals who have the compassion and desire to support and encourage patients, their family and friends during the most difficult journey of their life.
When you choose to volunteer with one of our hospice patients you give the patient, their family and friends encouragement , conversation, compassion and time.
Even little things like reading to them , sitting with them while they watch a favorite show or letting their loved one or friend take a break gives each of them a moment of refreshment .
Volunteering with a hospice patient is a blessing to the patient, their loved one and you .
We are also looking for Veteran Volunteers who can interact directly with Veteran Patients .

We also have current volunteer administrative needs which include; light clerical work . We work with your schedule and appreciate any time you are willing to share with us.
Currently looking for 4 to 6 volunteers with multiple needs with families and administrative. We look forward to meeting you .

Description

Enhabit Health & Hospice is looking for patient volunteer to provide companionship visits to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteer provide non- medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members . As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and what type of things you do .
A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families , playing games, walking and caring for family pets, creating a photo or memory album or just spending time with the patient or their family .
We also, offer volunteer opportunities with administrative support in our office.

  • We are looking for individuals who are able to commit to a 6 -12 months length of time with a minimum of 4 - 6 hours a month . We are interested in discussing the time you have to offer so we can also accommodate your schedule .
  • Hospice volunteering may also include support in the office with some administrative duties . This is not a requirement to volunteer.
