Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services and the Greater Boston Food Bank welcome volunteer help the second Tuesday of each month from 8:05 to 10:00 am. Volunteers fill grocery bags that will help our clients make it through the month. Volunteers help unload the truck and pack the bags. Location: Arts at the Armory Building, 191 Highland Ave., Somerville, MA 02143.
Presently, this opportunity is well staffed with individual volunteers, so we are primarily looking for volunteer groups who would like to schedule a date in advance.
8 to 10 volunteers is a good number for a corporate or organizational group.
