The Willamette Heritage Center features several historic buildings from 1840s Oregon, the historic Thomas Kay Woolen Mill, and a museum gallery with changing exhibits. Groups schedule tours throughout the year, ranging in age from school age children to senior adults. Individuals and family cohorts visit our site daily desiring guided tours as well.

Our docents lead individuals and groups on interpretive tours of the historic homes, mill buildings or both sharing their passion for history.
Docents also have the opportunity to become a living history character, giving tours in costume (provided by the WHC) and using first person voice to help guests understand the experience of the historical person being portrayed. Tours last approximately one hour.
