Mission Statement

The Willamette Heritage Center is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt corporation. To inspire, connect and encourage understanding, the Willamette Heritage Center engages community to preserve and share our heritage.

Description

Willamette Heritage Center, I-5 Exit 253 at 1313 Mill Street SE, a 5-acre site complete with a millrace and ducks to feed, is located three blocks from the state capitol and across from Willamette University. The WHC bridges the second half of the nineteenth century, from the early migration of people into the Pacific Northwest to the industrial beginnings of Oregon's Willamette Valley. The museum offers tours, gift shops, and a cafe.

The museum is open Monday through Saturday 10am - 5pm, Library and Archives are open 12-4 Tuesday through Friday; closed major holidays.
