ORGANIZATION: NMDP

The Market Research Intern will focus on marketing research and competitive intelligence, work with B2B staff, and make valuable contributions to our life-saving work. The person in this role will support key B2B initiatives by collecting data on clients, competitors, and the marketplace, and consolidate the information into actionable insights. This hands-on internship offers the opportunity to work in a special library research environment and gain experience in non-profit organizations, market research, market profiles, competitive intelligence, primary research methodologies, survey development, and knowledge management. It also allows the intern to leverage this experience as a class project.

Time Commitment

120 Hours/Unpaid

Minimum Education

Currently enrolled in a marketing, business analysis, or library sciences (preferred) Master's degree program at a college or university. Completed at least six months of relevant coursework.

Minimum Experience

One previous internship preferred. Experience in the healthcare industry also preferred.

Key Knowledge

Market Research best practices pertaining to secondary research.

Key Skills

Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently. An interest in talking to people, a natural curiosity, and a passion for problem solving. Attention to detail, as well as strong written and verbal communications skills. Understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet search applications.
