This volunteer is someone who wants to partner with our patients who reside in facilities. This can be an Independent living facility, Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing (Long term care) facility. The volunteer who fills this role often will accompany their patient to activities such as bingo, arts and crafts, music therapy, wine and dine events etc all while remaining in the facility for the duration of the activity. This type of involvement engages the patient and provides the additional support they may need to remain active when they might otherwise not participate.

Kindful hospice is looking for compassionate volunteers to sit with patients and offer caregiver relief while the caregiver runs errands and takes a break. We train our volunteers and will go with you the first time you sit with a patient. Some patients are able to talk and you can visit with them, others might sleep while you are there. This is such an important role to be able to give these families a break. Caring for a family member 24/7 is very tiring and stressful. That is where volunteer angels come in for a while and bring relief for these families. We have patients all over the Tulsa/Bartlesville/Muskogee area so you can choose which area works best for you. Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community and use your compassionate talents. All of our volunteers are required to complete an application, background check and fingerprinting. We pay and schedule all of this. Also required is a Covid Vaccination.
