The Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory is seeking individuals to serve on our Board of Directors. Please consider joining our Board whose mission is to bring the community together--as volunteers, members and donors of FOPCON--to preserve and enhance our Oak Park Conservatory.
Treasurer
We are seeking an individual with accounting experience; ideally, with non-profit experience. This person will manage the financial records of FOPCON and ensure that the board regularly receives reports of the financial condition of FOPCON.
Committees
We invite Friends from all different backgrounds. We are seeking individuals who would like to join our Board working committees specifically in Membership, Communications and Marketing, and Fundraising and Event Planning!
As a dynamic and dedicated team of volunteers, we are committed to making the visitor experience at the Conservatory the best it can be. Through group tours, children's programs, special events, education programs, and drop-in programs, we hope to make visits to the Conservatory a memorable experience for everyone of all ages from the young to the young-at-heart.

Mission Statement
The purpose of The Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory is to promote community interest in the Oak Park Conservatory, to offer educational and recreational opportunities and to support projects, which benefit the Conservatory.
Description
Volunteers with the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory (FOPCON) engage in a variety of activities, including plant care, education programs, administrative tasks, special events and leadership opportunities.
In 2017, more than 200 volunteers donated 7000+ hours to the Conservatory, and we anticipate more hours in 2018, as volunteers continue to expand on the education programs, and special events created and presented by FOPCON.
