Lambert House is Seattle's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning youth community center. We are seeking meals volunteers to prepare and serve dinner once per month, or more. Meals, or Dinner With Devas as we call it, are sit-down, family style with LGBTQ & ally youth (11-22 years old), volunteers & staff ranging from 10-20 people per meal.
Meals volunteers plan the menu, provide the ingredients, and do the cooking. We ask meals volunteers to provide a vegetarian option as part of their meal. We always provide the kitchen, utensils, and hungry mouths!
Volunteers must go through our volunteer recruitment process culminating in three days of training. Our next training is three consecutive weekend days in February 2017, exact dates TBD.
Send us an email to receive our volunteer application and more information about our process.
