Mission Statement

Lambert House is a center for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth and their allies that encourages empowerment through the development of leadership, social and life skills.

Description

Lambert House serves LGBTQ youth ages 11-22 in the greater Seattle area with 23 ongoing year-round programs and services including:

  • Daily drop in from 4-9:30pm Monday through Friday
  • CyberCenter/Computer Lab Monday through Friday
  • Home cooked meal Monday through Friday at 6pm
  • Weekly discussion groups (Tranz Youth on Mondays, Queer Young Females on Tuesdays, and Boys Who Like Boys on Thursdays)
  • 3,000+ volume LGBT lending library
  • Art Night & supplies
  • Queer Film Night on Friday
  • Cultural & Theatrical outings (5th avenue, etc.)
  • Monthly outdoor program (hikes & overnight camps)
  • Quarterly Seattle-wide youth-planned social events (dances, proms, etc.)
  • Leadership development & workshops
  • LGBT Pride Celebration
  • Informal youth-adult mentorship with volunteers
  • Service referral for emergency & transitional housing, medical, counseling, etc.
  • Clothing bank & toiletries
