Fleece Navidad! Make (or buy) a blanket for dementia residents!

Do you sew, crochet, knit, make fleece blankets, or quilt? If so, consider putting your talents to good use by making a lap blanket for our dementia residents this holiday season! Many residents in nursing homes do not have any family or friends to brighten up the holidays with gifts, so we are trying to make sure everyone has a happy holiday season by soliciting donations of lap blankets from the community. The blankets should be approximately four feet by three feet (or slightly smaller!), and can be any style you prefer! We will collect blanket donations until Saturday, Dec. 22nd, and then our staff will wrap them individually and put residents' names on them so they have something under the tree to open.
