Welcome to Forever Homes for Foster Kids. For nearly 30 years, our non-profit has specialized in locating the relatives of migrant and U.S. foster children. Our work reunites children with their families and gets them out of foster care and on to a better, brighter future.

You are -- someone who wants to do something that will help impact the lives of foster children. You can commit to two of the listed shifts for at least four months. You are a self-starter who looks for opportunities to develop and improve the work. This is not an entry level position. You have to come with skills. This will involve remote work.

The initial work we need is someone to keep on top of ongoing projects. While the hours may be few, the importance of your contribution to the organization cannot be overstated.

Responsibilities:
* Manage and handle ongoing projects
* Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
* Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient
* Resolve administrative problems
* Manage and update procedures
* Write letters and emails on behalf of other office staff

Requirements
* Proven admin or assistant experience
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
* Have social media skills using Facebook, Instagram. Pinterest is a plus.
* Attention to detail and problem solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organizational and planning skills
* Proficient in MS Office
* Team player. We have a collaborative environment.
* Knowledge of office management systems and procedures is a PLUS.
* Proficient in Google docs.
* Online Research

To sum things up,
you can be counted on to handle a project or two. We have plenty of admin activities that need someone reliable and dependable.

If you want to do more than what’s listed above, just let us know. There is plenty of room for growth. Our main focus is on running a tight ship so we can do our best for as many foster children as possible.

* Please note - we do not have a facility with children so direct contact with a child is not possible. All work is remote.

As we are a nonprofit and time is valuable, please be professional. Be ready and willing to email or call back when we respond to your inquiry.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you shortly.
