Little Light Children’s Centre need you!

We are an NGO based in one of Africa’s largest slums- Namuwongo in Kampala, Uganda. We provide education for disadvantaged children by sponsoring them through school and we have a primary school on-site. This means a lot of your possible activities revolve around the children, such as giving private lessons, helping teaching staff and playing with the children. However, there are a range of other projects like social media, business development, a women’s group, a youth group and much more! Because of the range of projects, there really is something for everybody and all we look for is somebody who is motivated and can work well within a team. The average working hours are 8 hours a day but this can vary depending on your projects.

No fundraising is required however it is a self funded trip as we are a small NGO- apart from weekday lunches you will need to cover all costs, for which around £900 should be budgeted. You can make the most of your money by staying for anything over two months (the minimum required) which will definitely make the flights worth it!
