Position Overview

Work as a computer assistant for teachers when they have students working on online platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Float between classes as needed and help students during computer time.
  • Help students learn about hardware and software to include keyboard and mouse use, logging on to online platform, trouble shoot problems, connect to printer, check work and email, etc.
  • Help students gain better computer skills by modeling and showing proper use of equipment
  • Answer questions and provide guidance as needed
  • Guide students to arrive at the correct answer

We offer free, non-credit high school equivalency classes, English language classes, career contextualized instruction, and citizenship preparation classes.

Volunteers are essential to fulfilling our mission and we welcome inquiries from community members who want to help the thousands of adult students we serve each year.
