High School Kickoff Volunteer

Do you work in IT, Software Development, or Engineering and want to share your passion for technology with the next generation of tech professionals? ChickTech Missoula is looking for 30 volunteers to help with our High School Kickoff program, a full-day event that provides a safe, encouraging space for high school girls to learn about technology and technology careers. High school participants will be involved in day-long workshops where they will build mobile apps, work on circuitry, or design user experiences, all with the help of knowledgable and caring volunteers. The event itself will be held on December 1st, and we provide food and a t-shirt as thanks for participation! In order to participate, volunteers will be required to attend one virtual orientation session, either on November 14th or 27th. To sign up, please fill out the sign up form at:

ChickTech is dedicated to retaining women and non-binary people in the technology workforce and increasing the number of people of marginalized genders pursuing technology-based careers.
Description
ChickTech is a multi-generational community helping each other become technology creators. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events and mentorship to empower, support, and increase the confidence of girls, women, and non-binary folks. Through our programs, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing tech industry.
As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
