Baggie Book Program - We are in search of volunteers for our "Baggie Book" Program for one day per week from 9:15 to 10:30 AM. During that time volunteers would assist students with checking in and out books from our 1st grade or 2nd grade baggie book take home libraries. Training is provided. This is a weekly commitment, but we are also recruiting subs for those times volunteers are not able to make it.
Hearing and Vision volunteers are needed on December 14th from 10:15 AM to 12:30 PM. Volunteers will test hearing, vision or balance.
Kindergarten Skillbuilders are needed one day each week from 9:20 AM to 10:00 AM. Volunteers work one-to-one with Kindergarten students helping them with reading and math skills. The minimum commitment is 3 months. If you attend the training and decide that it is not for you, there is no commitment to continue.
Challenge Reading! Volunteers help before or after school with a small group of students. Each week your students read a book at home and you meet to discuss the book and do related activities. Books are provided. You would choose the grade you work with, the time and day of the week, and the start/end dates. Minimum commitment is 6 weeks. If you attend the training and decide that it isn't for you, there is no commitment to continue. Start times are usually 8:30 Am or 4:00 PM.
Math Plus Volunteers assist before or after school with a small group of students. Each week you meet to do math activities. Training and materials are provided. You would choose the grade you work with, the time of day of the week, and the start and ending dates. Minimum commitment is 6 weeks. If you attend the training and decide that it isn't for you, there is no commitment to continue. Start times are usually 8:30 Am or 4:00 PM.

Volunteers enroll by completing a skills and interests checklist and these are matched to community needs. From the matches, the volunteer selects a volunteer job that is meaningful and fits.
