Share your love of Nature & Wildlife by volunteering as an Afternoon Welcoming Host at the new Eccles Wildlife Education Center at Farmington Bay! You will be the first point of contact to visitors at this beautiful new facility. Your job will entail sitting at the front desk, answering questions (both in person and over the phone) and providing guests with information about the Education Center, the Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area and surrounding areas. You will also perform light housekeeping tasks in the Conservation Hall. Shifts are available Tuesday through Friday from 12:30 to 4:30 pm, as well as on Saturdays from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm. Volunteers must commit to at least one (3 or 4 hour) shift per week. Training and background check will be provided prior to serving. This volunteer opportunity is offered through Davis Co. Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and is for people age 55 or better. Benefits of volunteering through RSVP include mileage reimbursement for travel between home and the volunteer station, as well as supplemental insurance coverage while serving.
