ORGANIZATION: United Way of Greater Cincinnati

If you're looking for a way to give back this season, you won't want to miss this special opportunity on Giving Tuesday! Join volunteers and partners from around the region as we create Book Nooks for local schools and nonprofits.

Book Nooks are benches filled with books that seat 2-3 children, and are then placed around communities with gaps in access to books.

Volunteers can expect to really dig in: we'll be sorting thousands of books by age range, decorating Book Nooks and making bookmarks. Discounted food and drink will be available, courtesy of Taft's Brewing Company.

Please bring a new or gently used children's book (ages 0-9) for entry to the event.

United Way of Greater Cincinnati was founded in 1915. The annual fundraising campaign became a partnership with American Red Cross, Cincinnati Area Chapter, in 1956. Today the organization covers ten counties: Hamilton, Brown, Butler and Clermont in Ohio; Boone, Campbell, Grant, and Kenton in Northern Kentucky; and Dearborn and Ohio counties in Southeast Indiana.
