Cape Fear Valley Hospice

What is a hospice volunteer?
A hospice volunteer is someone who wishes to make a difference in the lives of the terminally ill by contributing directly or indirectly to the services provided by hospice care. Volunteers provide emotional support and practical assistance that enhances the comfort and quality of life for patients, their families and loved ones. These services can include being available for companionship, listening or simply "being there" for a patient, as well as running errands and preparing meals.

Cape Fear Valley Hospice is looking for volunteers to donate their time and compassion. Support can be given in the home by providing companionship to our patients and freeing up caregivers to run errands or practice their own self-care. Volunteers may also assist office staff if they prefer to not provide direct patient care. Please consider giving the gift of service to our community. A background check and drug test will be completed by the agency. Please call our office at 910-609-6710 for additional information or email amy.munn@lhcgroup.com.
