The "I Have A Dream" Foundation works with low income students in the Boulder Valley and St Vrain Valley School Districts from the time they are in first grade until they graduate high school, and go to college. We provide them with academic support (like tutors!) and offering a variety of experiences and supports throughout their time with us. Our goal is to empower students to succeed in school, college, and career.
What we are in need: a tutor with some availability to come into Boulder High for a few hours each week to work with one student or a small group of students on Algebra 2 and Calculus, and possibly more general math support The ideal schedule would be a few hours for one or two days (M-F) a week between 12pm and 5pm. If this is something that you'd like to pursue, the next step is to come in for an interview with me, and then possibly a second round interview with the Program Director. It is at that time we can discuss compensation.

Description
Since 1990, IHDF Boulder County has served more than 1,000 local youth, and currently has 12 active Dreamer Scholar Classes. The model, with its one-on-one attention and daily programming, has proven to narrow the opportunity gap. Dreamer Scholars graduate from high school, enroll in post-secondary programming, and complete their post-secondary education at much higher rates than their low-income peers.
