Tee off with "I Have A Dream's" event volunteers for our annual golf tournament! The tournament will be held on Monday, July 28th at the Lake Valley Golf Course in Niwot, CO. Volunteers are needed for various shifts to support a variety of tasks throughout the day from 6 AM - 4 PM. Learning Partners/Tutors are school-based, academic-focused mentors assigned to a program site for one semester or longer. They are assigned to work with youth at least one day a week; elementary and middle school assignments are typically after school from approximately 3-6 pm during the fall and spring semesters. Summer semester hours vary between 10 am and 3 pm. Volunteers would be assigned to elementary school (Longmont site) cohorts for 2 hour increments between 4-6pm during the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. Learning Partners/Tutors support a cohort of students under the direct supervision of the Program Director and their team with academic tutoring and SEL (social-emotional learning). volunteers would be matched with one to four 1st graders as Learning Partners/Academic Mentors. This would entail participating in circle time and daily programming activities, building meaningful relationships while eating snacks and playing games, and also guiding meaningful math and reading activities. All volunteers are expected to act as positive and stable role models for Dreamer Scholars. Program site is located in the city of Longmont. PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to capture photos at "I Have A Dream" Foundation of Boulder County’s fundraising and special events throughout the year. Photos of our events tell stories about our nationally recognized and award-winning organization, its mission, and successes! "I Have A Dream" Foundation of Boulder County requires all Volunteer Photographers and Videographers to complete the following documents: Volunteer Application, In-person Interview, Background Check, and a Volunteer Photographer/Videographer Contract.

Volunteers who are assigned to high school cohorts for 3 hour increments between 10 am and 3 pm (Boulder sites) and from 3:30-6 pm (Longmont and Carbon Valley/Frederick sites) during the fall and spring semesters. Summer semester focuses primarily on credit recovery from 10 am-3 pm. Learning Partners/Tutors support a cohort of students under the direct supervision of the Program Director and their team with academic tutoring and SEL (social-emotional learning). The Program Director can ask Learning Partners/Tutors to provide one-on-one support to an assigned student, or a small group of students, if/when they feel the volunteer is ready. Depending on the program site and students’ needs, support is provided virtual/online and/or hybrid. All volunteers are expected to act as positive and stable role models for Dreamer Scholars. Program sites are located in the cities of Boulder, Lafayette, Longmont, and Carbon Valley/Frederick.
