Sunny’s Sol Fest (formerly known as PITTY FAIR!) will take place at the Louisville Water Tower on Sunday, October 20th, from 12PM-5PM. This is our flagship event -- our pet friendly art and music festival where we celebrate our hard work each year, and promote all the creative compassion that Louisville has to offer. Sol Fest promotes equality for all walks of life, and plays host to dozens of vendors that range from local artists, businesses, non-profits, a puppy kissing booth, raffle, and more. Sol Fest also features live music all day and delicious local food trucks! Sunny’s Sol Fest is FREE to the public, so grab the whole fam and friend crew and come on down!
We have two volunteer shifts to choose from. 1st shift will include set up, so it will involve some light lifting and standing/walking during the first hour and a half. 2nd shift will include some break down, but we also added a special break down crew this year who can hopefully add some fresh energy after a long fun-filled day!

Mission Statement
Saving Sunny works to reduce the flow of dogs into the shelter system by providing education, resources, and advocacy for people and their pets regardless of socioeconomic status, race, gender, age, sexual orientation, age, or ability.
Description
Saving Sunny was founded in 2010 as a rescue + foster organization. Now, we assist pet owners with the ability to keep their dogs from ever entering the shelter system in the first place, through basic resources, advocacy, and education.
We have found that surrendering a dog to an animal shelter is often a last resort for loving families who may be living in a historically disenfranchised community and be struggling to find resources + assistance to care for their pets. Our Community Dog Resource Center, founded in 2014, is designed to lessen the flow of dogs into the municipal shelter by giving a helping hand to those in need. We believe that everyone is deserving of the companionship of a pet. Saving Sunny also continues to rescue dogs on a small scale, offers support to our municipal shelters through our CDRC, behavior, and courtesy posting programs, and provides education and advocacy through public events and campaigns.
