Buckman SUN Community School is looking for volunteer Homework Helpers for Cranium Club (Home Work Club) Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

***Volunteers will to be ask to help students in general reading, writing and math. ***


This opportunity would be excellent for education,special education, sociology, psychology and social work majors. Our program supports High-School Students who need to fulfill volunteer hours.

Position roles and responsibilities:

  • Working with students one-on-one
  • Reading, Math and Writing lessons
  • Desire and ability to work with children to ensure an enriching, positive, and safe classroom setting.
  • Coordinating with SUN Site Supervisor & Extended Day Coordinator about tutoring progress
  • Prepping snack and handing out snack, along with recess duties that include ensuring student safety


Requirements:

  • Background Check
  • Volunteer Orientation
