During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Good Shepherd Hospice would love volunteers to sew/create Remembrance Bears for our patients! Remembrance Bears are a Special Keepsake to our patients families dealing with a loss of a loved one. Our sewing volunteers use a special piece of clothing that belonged to the patient that can be made into a Remembrance Bear. It can be a shirt, dress, pants or bathrobe. This bear is a treasured keepsake for wives, grandchildren, or other family member who would like a huggable reminder of the person that they love. It is such a wonderful gift to our patients families! If you have the talent of sewing, and the willingness to help others during a difficult time, please contact Paula Martella, Volunteer Coordinator and help touch families in special, creative ways that they will always remember. Serving people with compassion and dignity.
COMPASSIONATE ABOUT CARE. passionate about life.
At Good Shepherd Hospice, we believe that health care is more than just a diagnosis and a treatment. It is a daily exercise in making this moment...this today...the very best it can be. We're here to help our patients achieve that goal - physically, mentally, spiritually... and for whatever that means individually.
We believe that in the passing of a person's life, there are also extraordinary opportunities for compassion, reconciliation, spiritual healing, and renewal.
Our volunteers play a vital role in our Hospice program. From working in the office, to creating special projects at home, to visiting to provide companionship and ease loneliness, Good Shepherd Hospice Volunteers make special moments happen again and again for the patients and families we serve.
