Would you love to help home bound seniors and deployed military members feel more cared for and connected ? We are seeking volunteers to join us in a card making workshop to create handcrafted greeting cards to be delivered to Meals on Wheels clients and also to our deployed troops.
This fun workshop is held the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 10:30 am at North Davis Senior Activity Center. Our workshop leader will be on hand to teach you amazing new and creative techniques for creating and adorning the cards. Materials will be provided but if you have extra card stock, stickers, glue, or other supplies that you would like to share, please feel free to bring them.
Interested volunteers must be age 55 or older and complete a single-day event RSVP membership form prior to the event. Please call Pat at 801-525-5052 to sign up. Volunteer slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis so register today!

Davis County RSVP empowers and enables Americans 55+ in addressing community needs and concerns through volunteering.
Description
Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.
RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.
When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
